Closed: Mixbook Photobook Review and giveaway!!

I had the wonderful opportunity to review the personalized photo books and special promotions at Mixbook. I got a 8.5×8.5 inch photo book printed and I was amazed at the quality! I even managed to work out a giveaway to one lucky reader (see bottom)!

The ordering process was super easy, just drag and drop pictures into the pre-made pages, or for digital scrappers just choose the full-page template and drag your layout to the book. The bleed areas were very small, the areas I thought would be cut off were not, and the ‘preview’ you get before you order was very accurate! I have pictures below to see the quality I need a better camera these pictures do it no justice. The colors were right on with what I expected; no tint or anything abnormal like I got with other printers in the past.

Oh, and even though it is the 8.5 inch size it seems at least an inch bigger than my 8 inch books as you can see in the comparison picture above. 8×8 seems too small, 12×12 too big, but I am loving this 8.5 inch size!

Internet Sweepstakes and Giveaways

I wanted to share a new source of money for me, Instant Cash Sweepstakes, I am hooked, and already cashed out after only about a week, it wasn’t much at all but I had fun making that little bit LOL It is something to do that requires no money, no brain power- and pays.

You just answer a few polls like the one in the widget below. Once you answer the polls (they limit the amount you can do every 3 hours or so so you can’t sit there and do it all day- only like 10-15 minutes every few hours to win). Anyway, after you finish each poll you ‘win’, you can win cash (.01 cents to lots lots more), coins (which are used to enter into the $2 drawing every 4 hours) or ‘tickets’ (used to enter the daily $50 prize)

Here is the best part, for everyone you refer you match them, only one level deep- so if they take a survey and win .25 cents you also get .25, if they win the $2 drawing you win $2 too! So if you have a large network of friends and online people then you can win even more.

Like I said though, this is not a full time job, this is not big money (it could be but not on a regular basis- just the few times you win the big prizes. LOL). You can cash out to your paypal acount after just $2 and I already have and the payment came pretty quick. The longer you play it he more you win, the more you play then the higher your levels can go, your levels are earned by answering questions honestly when they do demographic polls (like “are you male” yes or no) They ask these to be sure that you were both honest in your profile and to make sure you are reading the questions and not just picking a random answer. But since you are only taking like 5 short polls every three hours or so you shouldn’t be in such a rush that you have to pick randomly.

I don’t know about your kids, but Taylor HATES to get dried off, I don’t know why, it is not like I am being rough or it hurts, she just hates it. I got the opportunity to review a hooded towel from Company Kids recently and of course I picked the pink kitty towel, but they have a bunch of options to pick from! Taylor loves it, we were able to play dress up instead of ‘dry off’ which helped a lot in actually getting her dry without a ton of tears.

These towels are MUCH bigger and softer than other hooded towels we have owned, you know the ones- they are the size of a big hand towel and about as thick as tiolet paper! The Company Kids towel is softer than our own towels and absolutely adorable! They went above and beyond the typical hood and added in ‘paws’ and even a big tail in the back.

Who knew that Febreze was psychic? A package showed up today while my husband was home from work for lunch- he hasn’t been feeling well so it was PERFECT timing to test out the Febreze Set & Refresh units they sent me.

I got two units to try out, one was a fruity smelling Dragon Fruit unit with a pretty pink holder that goes GREAT in Taylor’s bathroom. And the other is my all time favorite scent; Linen & Sky that I promptly placed in our bathroom. Let’s just say- it worked! And it was not overwhelming like some of the other ‘smell good’ products I have used. It is very light and blends in great in both rooms. As far as set up- it couldn’t have been easier- open the package and insert the scent- no peeling off any slippery backings or fiddling with settings. (It was almost too easy, I kept wondering if I missed a step somewhere until I noticed it was working!)

Along with the two units I also got a little booklet with a quiz about those old ‘cone’ air freshener, and I have to admit, I did recently throw out a few forgotten rotten apple core looking ones that I had stashed in the laundry room recently!
